Auditory Viewing || Alex Robins

Posted by on

Alex Robins of Or, The Whale is the first musician to stop by the office to help us kick off our new music series called Auditory Viewings. The first song he played for us is new and is being heard first here.

We also have a special treat for all of you. We got permission to pre-release Or, The Whale’s cover of Brittany Spear’s Toxic which is part of an upcoming Fantasy Covers podcast on the blog Coke Machine Glow.

Get it here: Toxic

Alex played Three Brothers for us.

Rusty Gold is from Or, The Whale’s latest album. It’s a sorrowful beauty that I have a special fondness for.

We are excited to start expanding our connections into the music world and every Monday we will bring you a new musician. This session was directed by Michael Jeter, Photographed by Justin Fantl, and recorded by Blake Henderson.

    dude…you carry these tunes brilliantly. I appreciated hearing how hefty-heartedly you sang out, sans band.
