This image represents the start of series I have begun working on that deals with the surreal and the juxtaposition of either classic or modern environments with something that doesn’t relate to the context.  I am still working through the concept and the rendering but I thought it would be interesting to share in the process.  The inspiration for this came from imagery I have in my mind from Stanley Kubrick’s “2001.”  I haven’t seen the movie in years but I just remember how profound and bizarre it was when I saw it for the first time.

This of course is the man himself.  If anyone can find any of his still images I would be thrilled to see those!!
