Recently I was approached by a fellow Wired staffer to help with the photography for her start up food magazine. She wanted to profile restaurants in the city and feature off menu items that they offer to only the loyalist of patrons. Leaving typical food porn for the city magazines to deal with, my idea was to inject some life, a sense of space and a decisive moment into a what is usually a stale visual motif. So over the past few months we’ve been running around San Francisco trying out different imaging techniques and documenting some of the best places to eat and drink in the city. Here are some of my favorite frames from the project.
