A little bit of new still-life work.  This series was inspired by the American painter Wayne Thiebaud.  I remember seeing his work in person at the De Young Museum in 2006.  I didn’t realize until I finished this series how influential his work is to my own and I revisited some of what Thibaud painted.  I think there are similar issues at play in repetition, Americanism’s and mass culture.
