The Black Harbor is an online account of the work, ideas, and inspiration of a tight-nit collective of creatives. Over the years we have created things together, attended school together, fought together, and partied together. We have grown beyond the simplicity of friendship. We are now a family. Our purpose is to celebrates the work of the collective and explore creative work in the world that truly inspires us driving us to be better at what we do. Our hope is that as we document our work, process, lives, and inspiration that you will also be inspired and share your work with us.

Appropriation happens all the time. It can be purposeful, sometimes it can just happen that two artists do similar things. Its hard to know where to draw the line. What sucks for Bark is that many people will see the M&M and shit say its so brilliant when in fact it isn't their idea in the least. Also you are right, Bark's work is better and much more full of feeling. I say if you are going to base a series off of someone else that is fine. . but you better say thats what you are doing right off the bat. Give credit where it's due.

Actually I would suggest you consider the values used when
political, business and religious leader thought slavery and colonialism were
good business models. Today those same values would sell you and your family
tobacco, sugar, salt, fat, contaminated foods that are manufacturing
epidemics of illness , death and financial ruin. Those same values then fooled
millions that driving the least fuel efficient vehicles scams which ended up
making the US transportation sector and economy less efficient then lobbied
against and then destroyed the EV1 in early 2000. This while trying to address
global climate destabilisation that will wreck the lives of millions.

The PB toxic disaster

The dead zone in our oceans
the destruction of the boreal forest ecosystem in Alberta due to strip mining and the toxic
lakes

The plundering of fisheries (Cod, blue fin tuna, sharks,
whale)

Mountain ecosystem destruction from coal mining global climate destabilisation w

Those are the evil values of business that are the focus of
the campaign to have large scale long term damage of our environment, the web
of life our life support system prosecuted as ecocide by the international Criminal
Court.

The media which is dependent on the advertising from the
auto, development and airline corporations have been silent on the threat that ecocide
poises to our future.

I hope you warn you children your friends and your community
about them they are destroying the ability of our planet to sustain life.
