The Black Harbor The Black Harbor is an online account of the work, ideas, and inspiration of a tight-nit collective of creatives. Over the years we have created things together, attended school together, fought together, and partied together. We have grown beyond the simplicity of friendship. We are now a family. Our purpose is to celebrates the work of the collective and explore creative work in the world that truly inspires us driving us to be better at what we do. Our hope is that as we document our work, process, lives, and inspiration that you will also be inspired and share your work with us.

This album has been doing the trick for me lately. I’m a sucker for anything western and psychedelic.

Woah supernerd! What do you got against the design of our site? Here's the feed. Geek.

Luca Venter is 17 years old. But that has nothing to do with why I’m posting his work here. His work is featured here because it’s gorgeous and well composed. I only bring up the fact that he is 17 because it’s part of his very unique story. He lives a unique, ambitious, and arts driven life. It is outside the norm of your average upbringing. At 11 he was given free reign to pursue whatever he wanted. No doubt if I had been give that freedom I would be worthless now. Luca on the other hand headed down the path of being a professional photographer and has now worked all over for artists such as Barcelona and Candy Claws. We had coffee last week and me in all my arrogance tried to name-drop photogs and designers that I should he look into. He ended up educating me on the design and photography industries I thought I knew a thing or two about. It’s inspiring to see someone with the head-start he has. Enjoy his work.
