Massimo Vitali is hands down one of my favorite photographers.  He has been shooting for more decades than I have been alive and shoots exclusively with 8×10 cameras.  His approach is slow and methodical and he apparently he will only shoot a few hundred images a year if even that.  I think this is particularly interesting given the massive proliferation of image making in the world today.  I think slowing down and being selective about what to shoot is an important idea.  One great image is far more valuable than a hundred bad ones. . . .
