Wendy MacNaughton’s illustrations are filled with erratic energy. Looking at her work gives me the feeling like I’m there, seeing the subject matter through her eyes. Her sketchy line quality, color palette and creative writing make these illustrations seem like they could be on the coolest bar napkin you’ve ever found. But they’re so much more…
I started liking her work when I saw a story she had illustrated for The Bold Italic. As a fan of watercolor and illustration, I couldn’t help but want to share her work with others. She’s a part of Graphic Journos, a group of journalists, illustrators and artists who report stories using pictures and words.
I encourage people to spend some time on her site and blog. That way you can see more of her work and read some of the great stories that accompany her illustrations.
